Euregio Based Dahls - 2014
Peter, Alena, Katka & Natalie

This year started out with a large lump of Déjà vu, with Pete once more trying to jump to commemorate the Battle for Bure in The Ardennes in early 1945. Too foggy again, although the first Chalk got over the DZ this time at least, ...we'll jump there one year! At Easter, Pete and The Girls went hiking again, this time 3 days on the Rheinburgenweg from Koblenz heading South, ...weather was agreeable this time and we had fun :-) We visited Moike for Marlene's Confirmation, and we visited the Sternwart in Aachen to look at the Moon and some stars. In June Pete travelled to Normandy to be part of the 70th Commemoration activities for Op Overlord and Op Tonga, I was selected (from a cast of dozens) as one of eight to jump at The Merville Battery, which has only been jumped one other time since '44. Great jump (for me), great group, ...we are now known as 'The Mervilles', and whenever we're together we have to sit in Stick order ! The next major event was a trip Down-under for 2 weeks via Bangkok, with a week's layover in Thailand on the way back, ...this was a fantastic trip ! ...got to meet (all) the Family, did a week in Airlie Beach, then the week in Thailand was really amazing, ...elephant trekking, rafting and kayaking The Kwai, Hellfire Pass visit, ...truly memorable !! In July, Pete was in California when MobileIron went IPO, and presented to an audience of 160 at the End User Conference =o In September Pete jumped at Peer in Belgium to commemorate a Belgian SAS operation in 1944 (Op Caliban).
